Danzfit Owners- Joan Audino and Maureen Nixon

Danzfit is a young Australian small business specializing in Zumba® fitness programs.  It was created by Joan Audino and Maureen Nixon who had a passion for “the Zumba® approach” of enjoying working out. They decided to introduce this fitness program to others so that they also had an opportunity to have fun while exercising and reap the benefits of a Zumba® experience – “to look and feel better.” This way Joan and Maureen thought they could do Zumba® as often as they wanted! 

In September 2009, with the knowledge that Zumba® Fitness was unknown to most of the Australian population,  they developed their business and marketing plan and together with the timely assistance of the agressive Zumba® DVD marketing by Guthy-Renker, they have never looked back. 

Their first Zumba® class commenced in October 2009. They now offer 10 classes at 4 venues at Essendon, Balwyn, East Doncaster and Heidelberg. They are excited that the Melbourne community has caught on to this fun fitness phenomenon and are realising the results that it brings.

Danzfit is committed to providing quality programs and excellent customer service. We are passionate about Zumba®!. “The instructor is key to a great program” and Danzfit believes they have the best. The instructors are very creative and unique in choreographing their classes – it compliments the music.  They find the right balance between traditional fitness and dance to create an explosive one-hour Zumba class. They are Zumba certified and use the tools provided by Zumba® to create their own unique styles – they are very innovative.  No two instructors are exactly alike – but they all “rock!”  They have great personalities and are very engaging.  We were fortunate to be at the forefront of Zumba® in Melbourne and have been able to attract great talent.    

Joan and Maureen have both become licensed Zumba Instructors and want to share their new found experience with others. Joan is also a licensed Zumba Gold and Aqua Zumba Instructor. Maureen is trained in Zumbatomics. Our Danzfit instructors have a fine reputation and very experienced in running Zumba® events for schools, private, corporate and community functions. Contact us if you have an event.
